Knowledge and data

Bring your data. Get cited answers.

Drive, Gmail, Slack, Notion, your uploads. Workswarm reads, indexes, and cites them so every answer points back to a source.

What comes in

Sources you already use, on the way in.

Workswarm treats every connected source the same way: queued, audited, and indexed for retrieval. Manual uploads go through the same pipeline as connector pulls.

Documents

  • Manual uploads (drag-drop in chat or in Settings)
  • Google Drive folders
  • OneDrive folders
  • Notion pages
  • Confluence spaces
  • Dropbox folders

Conversations

  • Gmail threads
  • Outlook inbox
  • Slack channels
  • Microsoft Teams channels
  • WhatsApp Business inbound

Workswarm itself

  • Voice call transcripts
  • Project artifacts and decisions
  • Workstream outputs
  • Gate approvals and audit trails

What you get out

Cited answers, not opinions.

The retrieval layer is built so agents and chat answers run on your evidence, not on generic model memory.

Cited answers in chat

Every answer points back to the document, message, or artifact it came from. No black box, no guessing.

Hybrid retrieval

Semantic search and exact-match search run together so synonyms and unique identifiers both land.

ACL-aware results

A teammate only sees passages they were already allowed to see. The retrieval layer respects the same access controls the source system enforced.

Visible ingest status

Settings shows what is queued, what is processing, what failed, and why. Retry from the same screen.

How it works

Ingest, embed and index, cite on retrieval.

Three steps. The Status tab in Settings tells you which step every item is on.

01

Ingest

Connect a source or drop files into chat. Workswarm queues each item, fans them out to a typed worker, and writes an audit row for every transition.

02

Embed and index

Each chunk is embedded for semantic search and written to a lexical index for exact-match. Both indexes are scoped to your tenant.

03

Cite on retrieval

When an agent or user asks a question, retrieval pulls top passages, packages citations, and the answer card links back to the source.

For the deeper retrieval, hedging, and refusal behavior, see the Knowledge Layer page.

Trust

Your data stays yours.

Every retrieval respects tenant boundaries, source-system permissions, and your audit posture.

  • Per-tenant row level security at the database engine, not just the application.
  • Per-tenant encryption keys via KMS. BYOK available at Enterprise.
  • Hash-chained audit log for every retrieval and every grant.
  • Workswarm does not train public models on your data.

Bring your data on day one.

Sign up and drop your first folder into chat. The Status tab tells you the rest.

Enterprise-ready from day one

Built so the day your auditor walks in, the answer is already on the screen.

WorkSwarm starts compliant - not retrofits. Every architectural decision is made assuming the next conversation is with a regulated buyer's third-party risk team.
